Two outlaws killed in ‘shoot-out’

OKARA: Two wanted men were killed in an ‘encounter’ with a team of the Crime Control Department early on Monday near Lalopur village.

As per CCD official, the CCD team was patrolling in rural area of tehsil Dipalpur when it came across four suspects on two motorcycles. The CCD signalled them stop but they allegedly started shooting which was retaliated in self defence.

“After some time the guns of alleged criminals went silent. Police combed the area and found two bodies while co-suspects managed their escape in the darkness of night. Police seized two motorcycles, cell phones and two illicit weapons with live bullets.”

The dead were identified as Naeemullah alias Muhammad Hussain alias Mamni and Riaz Jhedhu alias Ladhoo, resident 59/D, Pakpattan district. Both were said to be involved in heinous crimes including murder, attempt to murder.
