200 carts of fruit, vegetable sellers removed
SARGODHA: The municipal corporation lifted over 200 carts of fruit and vegetables and dumped them in the open yard of the corporation office.
The corporation has given its staff a task of August 14 to clear the city from carts and encroachments, warning that all types of permanent encroachments would be demolished.
The shops that would set up the encroachments again would be sealed and cases would be registered against them.
According to sources, the MC chief officer and Additional Deputy Commissioner Majid Bin Ahmed has given a special task to the Anti-Encroachment Branch to remove all illegal carts and encroachments from the city.
PROTEST: Traders of Sarafa Bazaar warned of a protest if the police failed to trace the kidnapped moneylender within the next 48 hours.
According to sources, the manager of a gold dealer, Shahid, went missing three days ago. Traders asked the DPO and RPO to ensure the safety of the lives and property of the traders by recovering the kidnapped person.
MURDER: A 21-year-old youth was killed by his cousin after a heated argument between vegetable vendors in the market.
According to sources, 21-year-old Yasir, a vegetable vendor, had a heated argument with his cousin near the Civil Hospital in the town of Phularwan. His cousin brought out a weapon and shot him dead.
His body has been shifted to the hospital for a post-mortem.
