KUWAIT: Crown Prince Fahd of Saudi Arabia said in an interview … that his country would not hesitate in imposing another oil embargo on the West in the event of another Middle East war. Prince Fahd told the newspaper “Al Rai Al-Aam”: “We will use all weapons, including oil, if Arab States were forced to wage a war of liberation to free their occupied territories and preserve their rights, particularly in Jerusalem. We will use all weapons to secure victory, although we still call for sparing the world ... death and destruction,” Prince Fahd was quoted as saying. The Saudi Prince called for greater co-operation among Gulf States [to] preserve security in the region. — News agencies

[Meanwhile, as reported by news agencies from Rawalpindi,] [34] members of a marriage party drowned when their launch capsized in Mangla Lake, near Mirpur ... this morning [Aug 2], an Azad Kashmir Government source said here. The source said 31 bodies had been recovered … while search for the remaining three was continuing.
