Three held for killing brother’s widow

MIANWALI: Three brothers were arrested on Wednesday for allegedly killing the widow of their martyred brother in village Dilewali.

A murder case was registered at the Mooch police station on the complaint of Arshad Hussain Shah, the father of the deceased widow.

In his complaint, he said that his daughter Afshan Bibi was married to Attaullah Shah, who served in the Frontier Constabulary in Balochistan.

He was martyred during duty around four months ago. He left behind a widow, two minor daughters and a son.

He said the widow was the sole beneficiary of all the benefits received from the armed forces.

He alleged that Attaullah’s three younger brothers -- Ikramullah, Kamran and Arsalan -- in their greed for the monetary benefits strangled his daughter to death.

The police arrested the accused after two days and claimed that they had confessed to the crime.
