PTI to protest all over country on Aug 5: Raja

LAHORE: The Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Secretary General Salman Akram Raja says the party has no plans to gather workers at a specific place for Aug 5 agitation, and instead it will protest at different locations across the country.

Mr Raja made these remarks while speaking to the media after he visited party leader Hammad Azhar’s residence to express condolences on the death of his father, former governor and PTI MNA Mian Muhammad Azhar on Monday.

The PTI secretary general reiterated that the judiciary was attacked through the 26thConstitutional Amendment and added that the whole judicial system had been desecrated.

“If the courts will function as per the Constitution and law, all decisions made (in May 9) cases will not stand,” he said. The party would continue fighting against fascism and eventually win with truth, he added.
