Senate polls buried PTI’s transparency narrative: JI

LOWER DIR: Jamaat-i-Islami, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa North, chief and former senior minister Inayatullah Khan has said that the recent Senate elections have completely buried Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf’s narrative of ‘justice, transparency and change’.

The party that once raised slogans against corruption, nepotism and the status quo is now part of the same power politics it once opposed, he said, while speaking to reporters here on Wednesday.

Inayatullah remarked that the alliance among PTI, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz, Pakistan Peoples Party, and other political parties reflected that their sole objective was to gain power and safeguard their vested interests. “Those who used to brand each other as thieves and traitors are now standing side by side for mutual benefit,” he added.

He further stated that the same parties that previously made noise about Form-45 and Form-47 were now focused on rewarding their “ATM machines”.

Inayatullah alleges PTI, PML-N, PPP, and other parties allied to safeguard their vested interests

“These parties never united on issues such as inflation, skyrocketing fuel prices, or unemployment, but they have no hesitation in coming together when their personal interests are at stake,” he said.

Mr Inayatullah said there is no longer any ideological difference between PTI and other mainstream parties.

He asserted that Jamaat remains the only political party with honest and transparent leadership committed to public service.

He urged the public to break free from deceitful and self-serving

politicians and support JI for ‘genuine leadership and national progress’.

PROSECUTION TEAM HAILED: Civil society members and human rights activists on Wednesday praised the prosecution team for securing convictions in the rape and murder case of an eight-year-old girl at a seminary-cum-orphanage in the Munda area.

The incident, which occurred a year ago, drew widespread condemnation after the girl’s mysterious death. Initially, the orphanage administration claimed she had died after a pile of bedding fell on her. However, following protests and demands for justice, police launched an investigation that cast doubt on the initial version of events.

As public pressure mounted, an FIR was registered and the case was brought to trial in the court of additional sessions judge Ijaz Younas in Samarbagh, which delivered its verdict on Monday.

The prosecution, led by district public prosecutor Rafiullah, was commended for its rigorous pursuit of justice, leading to the conviction of three individuals on charges of assault and murder.

The court sentenced all three to life imprisonment along with heavy fines.

RECONCILIATION CEREMONY: A ceremony was held on Wednesday to reconcile a feud between the families of Syed Nusrat Ali Shah and Syed Mohsin Ali Shah from Shikolai Timergara and Maulana Gul Jan of the neighbouring Bajaur district.

The speakers emphasised that reconciliation was a virtuous act that pleased Allah.

They stressed the importance of peace, forgiveness, and understanding in building a harmonious society.
