Man buried alive, five injured in roof collapse

SARGODHA: A man was buried alive while five members of his family suffered injuries when a roof of their house caved in at Mid Ranjha People’s Colony, Kot Momin, on Monday.

Reports said the roof of Muhammad Amir’s (50) house collapsed as a result he was buried alive while his wife Nusrat Bibi (45) and children Muhammad Tauqir (14), Palwasha (12), Rida (8), and Sadaf (14) suffered injuries.

They were shifted to DHQ Teaching Hospital Sargodha by the rescuers. Three of them are reported to be critical.

MURDER: A minor girl was found murdered after alleged rape at Chak 124 NB, some 40 kilometers from here.

Reports said the body of seven-year-old ‘Z’ was found in her relative’s cattle shed. After receiving the information, the DPO Inspected the scene and met with the relatives.

The SDPO Salanwali gave a briefing about the incident. Salanwali police have registered a case on the complaint of her grandfather Sher Muhammad.

The body has been shifted to the hospital for autopsy. Further investigation is underway.

FIRING: Five men were injured in a firing incident in Sulaimanpura near Bhalwal Bridge, Tehsil Sargodha. The victims have been identified as Sohail, Hassan, Mohsin, Zeeshan and Aslam.

One of the injured, Hassan, sustained a gunshot wound to his neck and is reported to be in a critical condition. He was shifted to the District Teaching Hospital for treatment.

According to police sources, the incident was the result of a minor argument. Police are conducting raids to arrest the main suspect, Luqman.
