Heavy Israeli bombardment has been reported in areas near Deir el-Balah in central Gaza, according to Al Jazeera.

It added that footage shared by the Quds News Network showed large plumes of smoke rising from the area.

Deir el-Balah, home to thousands of displaced Palestinians, has come under increasing fire in recent weeks.
