Palestinian journalist shares plight amid starvation crisis in Gaza

Palestinian journalist Anas Al-Sharif has described his plight amidst the starvation crisis in Gaza due to Israel’s blockade of the strip.

“I haven’t stopped covering for a moment in 21 months. And today, I say it outright… And with indescribable pain.

“I’m drowning in hunger, trembling in exhaustion, and resisting the fainting that follows me every moment,” the Al Jazeera Arabic affiliated journalist said.

He added that he stands in front of the camera trying to look stable, “but the truth is that we are falling apart inside.”

“Gaza is dying… And we die with it, “ he added.

The journalist said that if the world does not move today, tomorrow there may be no one waiting to be saved.

He called for an end to the conflict, deaths and for the siege to be broken.

Al-Sharif was also personally targeted by the Israeli Defence Forces spokesperson Avichay Adraee in a post on X after his coverage of the crisis.
