From The Past Pages Of Dawn: 1950: Seventy-five years ago: Tripartite talks

KARACHI: Tripartite talks on Kashmir be­­t­ween the UN Representative, Sir Owen Dix­on, the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Mr Lia­quat Ali Khan, and Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, the Bharati Prime Minister, will begin in New Delhi on Thursday [July 20], it was authoritatively learned … yesterday [July 15] evening. Mr Liaquat Ali Khan, will leave Karachi for New Delhi on Thursday morning. He is expe­c­­ted to be accompanied by Mr Mushtaq Ah­­mad Gurmani, Minister for Kashmir Affa­irs, and the Secretary-General, Mr Moham­mad Ali. Sir Owen Dixon, is arriving in Kara­chi from New Delhi on Monday, to hold dis­­­cussions with the Prime Minister. Mr Gur­m­a­­ni and the Foreign Minister, Chaudhri Moh­a­m­mad Zafrullah Khan, are likely to be present. …
