The Israeli army has issued the latest forced evacuation threat for civilians living in 16 areas in northern Gaza, Al Jazeera reports.
A spokesperson for the army said the threat was an “urgent warning to everyone still present in Gaza City and Jabalia” in the neighbourhoods listed, saying they should “evacuate immediately south towards al-Mawasi”.
The so-called “safe zones”, including al-Mawasi in Khan Younis, are routinely attacked by Israel despite the army forcing Palestinians to move to those areas.
