Israeli settlers have again deliberately lit fires near the remains of a fifth-century church in the occupied West Bank, Al Jazeera reports.

The latest attack on the predominantly Christian village of Taybeh, near Ramallah, saw settlers light fires near the archaeological site of the ruins of the fifth-century Church of Saint George and Palestinian homes.

The village has repeatedly been targeted with attacks and harassment from Israeli settlers in recent weeks, amid an escalation in attacks by settlers across the occupied West Bank.
