ISLAMABAD: A parliamentary delegation led by National Assembly Speaker Ayaz Sadiq met with Azerbaijan’s Prime Minister Ali Asadov in Baku, says a press release here on Wednesday.

During the meeting, the speaker reaffirmed Pakistan’s support for Azerbaijan. He appreciated Azerbaijan’s consistent support for Pakistan on key regional and global matters.

The speaker welcomed Azerbaijan’s announcement of a $2bn investment plan in Pakistan.

He informed the PM that the next Trilateral Meeting of the Speakers of the Parliaments of Azerbaijan, Pakistan, and Türkiye would be held in Islamabad, likely in September.
