JEONJU (South Korea): Pakistan secured top spot in Group ‘B’ and a semi-final berth at the Asian Youth Girls Netball Championship, defeating Maldives 49-39 in their final group match on Tuesday.

Pakistan led narrowly throughout the hard-fought contest (14-12, 24-26, 35-32, 49-39). Standout performances came from Leya Raza Shah, Alisha Naveed, Sumayya Kouser, Haleema, Jasmine Farooq and Farah Rasheed.

The national side finished the group undefeated with 10 points and will now face Japan on Thursday for a place in the final.
