Omani bikers arrive in Gilgit to promote friendship
GILGIT: A delegation from the Bousher Bikers Club of Oman arrived in Gilgit on Tuesday, marking a gesture of friendship and cultural exchange between Oman and Pakistan.
The delegation, comprising enthusiastic Omani motorcyclists, embarked on an overland journey from Oman to Pakistan, showcasing the strong bond between the two brotherly nations.
The visit is part of a project initiated by the Embassy of Pakistan in the Sultanate of Oman to enhance diplomatic and cultural ties between the two countries.
After crossing Babusar Top and Chilas, the bikers reached Gilgit, marking the beginning of their journey through Pakistan’s breathtaking landscapes. During their stay, they will visit historic sites, valleys, and ancient routes, immersing themselves in the rich cultural heritage of the region.
Their itinerary includes visits to iconic landmarks such as Altit Fort and Baltit Fort, as well as explorations of the scenic Chipursun Valley and the frontier valley of Misgar.
The journey will culminate at the majestic Khunjerab Pass, the highest border crossing between Pakistan and China.
