Three killed in different incidents in Attock
TAXILA: Three persons were killed while one was injured in three different incidents in various parts of district Attock on Thursday, police sources said.
In the first incident, an old enmity claimed the life of a 44-year-old man in the Mirza locality, within the limits of Attock police station.
Police sources said that the man, later identified as Ibadat Ali, was going towards his house when two persons hiding behind a wall intercepted him and opened fire.
He died on the spot. His body was later shifted to the district headquarters hospital for autopsy.
Police attributed the broad daylight killing to an old enmity.
Separately, the body of an online cab service driver was found at a deserted place along the Islamabad–Peshawar Motorway (M-1), within the limits of Hassanabdal police station.
The driver, identified as Anees, had been missing along with his car since May 28.
Meanwhile, a teenage boy was killed and his friend injured when a speeding wagon, recklessly driven by an unknown driver, hit a rickshaw on the Hazro–Wessa Road in the limits of Hazro police station.
In another incident, a teenage female nurse was abducted by unknown persons within the limits of Wah Cantonment police station on Thursday. Police sources said that the 19-year-old staffer of a local private medical complex was abducted on her way to work.
Separately, Pindigheab police arrested five persons red-handed while gambling at a graveyard. Gambling tools, bet money, motorcycles and cell phones were seized during the raid.
Respective police stations registered separate cases and launched further investigations.
