At least 68 bodies have been brought to Gaza’s hospitals over the past 24-hour reporting period, Al Jazeera reports citing the enclave’s health ministry.

The data included two bodies of Palestinians killed in previous Israeli attacks and recovered from the rubble, the ministry added. Additionally, at least 182 people were injured in Israeli strikes over the same period.

The figures bring the number of people killed in the territory since the start of the conflict in October 2023 to 55,432, with another 128,923 wounded.

Israel has killed 5,139 Palestinians and injured 16,882 others since breaking a ceasefire with Hamas in March.
