The UN agency for Palestinian refugees has said that Israel’s ongoing offensive has caused “severe shortages of hygiene supplies and clean water” in Gaza.

UNRWA wrote on X, “Many women and girls must improvise with old clothes or torn fabric instead of pads, often reusing them without proper washing.

“Women and girls speak of deep shame, fear of leaks, and constant anxiety leading to shame, fear, and anxiety.”
