Clash leaves two men dead in Jacobabad
SUKKUR: Two persons were killed in a clash between two rival groups over a monetary matter in the parking area along Station Road in Jacobabad late Friday evening.
The clash took place after a heated argument between the two sides -- one belonging to the Soomro community and the other to a Pakhtun tribe.
The deceased were identified as Zubair Pathan, 40, a resident of Quetta, and Altaf Soomro, 30, a close relative of Haji Gul Hassan Soomro -- the district president of the All Pakistan Soomra Association.
It was said that the victims had indulged in a heated argument over a matter of Rs20,000. Armed men from both sides joined in the verbal bout and then started trading fire which left the two persons dead.
Two passers-by were also wounded. One of them was identified as Nabeel Shah. Police were trying to ascertain the name of the other injured man.
