MIRPURKHAS, Feb 6: The water crisis deepened in the city as water could not reach in the water reservoirs of the public health engineering department.

The irrigation authorities had assured that water would be supplied to city on Feb 5 after completing the desilting work at Jarwari Shakh which supplies water to the reservoirs. But the desilting could not be completed in stipulated time.

It may be recalled that water supply has started in the Jamrao canal, but its west branch was closed due to the ongoing desilting work.

ALLEGED: Ali Dino Mari, resident of Gulshan-i-Haider has alleged that the Sanghar and Tando Adam police have implicated him in false cases on the pretext of being relative of dacoit Yousuf Mari.

He said the other day that he was implicated in false cases simultaneously on the same day by the Sinjhoro, Khai, Berani, Tando Adam and Peromal police. He said that the police conducted raids at the houses of Mr Mari’s relatives and looted valuables.
