MOHMAND: Two children were killed and a man was critically injured when a landslide struck a house in DawatKhel Dawezai area of Pandiali tehsil here on Monday morning, the police said.

The incident took place when Khan Wali, a local resident, was working on his mud house accompanied by two children. Suddenly, a landslide struck the house, burying them under the debris.

The villagers retrieved the three from rubble and rushed them to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital, Mamad Gat, where Bilal, 8, son of Khan Wali, and Abuzar, 9, son of Sher Wali, were declared dead.

Khan Wali sustained serious injuries and is currently under treatment.
