Iqbal honoured ahead of 87th death anniversary at PNCA
ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA), in collaboration with the Pakistan Cultural Forum, hosted a commemorative event to honour the death anniversary of Allama Iqbal, the visionary poet, philosopher and national thinker.
Held at the PNCA Auditorium, the day-long programme brought together students from across Islamabad in a reflective celebration of Iqbal’s enduring legacy, says a press release.
The event featured speeches from the students along with soulful recitation of Iqbal’s poetry.
The students paid tribute to the poet’s timeless messages of unity, self and cultural pride.
The performances received applause from the audience, with many praising the emotional depth and artistic quality of the tribute.
“I just felt Iqbal’s words come alive on stage. Unforgettable,” shared one visitor.
“Such cultural gatherings are essential for reconnecting with our roots. A truly inspiring event. Well done PNCA,” said another guest.
Throughout the event, refreshments were served, giving participants an opportunity to converse about Iqbal’s works in a laid-back setting.
The PNCA expressed its gratitude to the Pakistan Cultural Forum for the collaboration and to the students whose presence made the tribute meaningful.
