SUKKUR: A group of armed men gunned down a motorcyclist as they drove by him in a car near Ubauro, Ghotki district, on Friday.

The victim, Sikandar Gargaij, was going on the two-wheeler, when the armed men opened indiscriminate fire at him and sped away. The youth died on the spot before the area’s police reached there and shifted the body to nearby hospital for post mortem examination, said witnesses.

Abdul Khaliq Gargaij, heir of the slain youth, lamented before the media that some time ago, they were blamed for the murder of a man belonging to Fida Hussain Gargaij group. That day, Ubauro DSP had begun an inquiry into the murder and they were going from Ubauro to their village, Chaudari Irshad, in Daharki, when the armed belonging to Fida Hussain Gargaij and Mir Muhammad groups, riding a car, killed Sikandar Gargaij near the toll plaza and fled, he said.

The bereaved family appealed to higher authority to serve them justice.
