SUKKUR: A gang of dacoits kidnapped a man and his young son when he was passing through Kot Shahu riverine area, Shikarpur district, along with his family on a motorcycle on Monday.

Police officials said that Kamoro Odh, his wife Gulbano and their eight-year-old son Altaf were intercepted by armed dacoits near Shaiban Kursi Jatoi village and kidnapped.

After covering some distance, the kidnappers let go of the woman in Chiman Sukhpur area and took away her husband and son into the riverine area of Kot Shahu, said the police officials.

Sources said that the woman reported her ordeal to police after the armed kidnappers let her go. Shikarpur SSP was not available for comments.
