CHARSADDA: Two persons were killed and another was injured when their rivals opened fire on them on the Peshawar-Shabqadar Road here on Friday.

The deceased were returning home on a motorcycle after a court appearance.

Jalad Khan, a resident of Mandezi area, reported to the police in an injured condition that he along with Asad and Fakhar Alam Khan, residents of Kangra, had come to Shabqadar for a court appearance.

“After attending the hearing, we were returning home on a motorcycle when Irfanullah, Sahib Nazir and Sahibzada opened fire on us near Pehalwan Qila on the Peshawar-Shabqadar Road,” he said.

“As a result of the firing, Asad and Alam died on the spot, while I was seriously injured,” the complainant said, adding that the motive behind the killing was a murder feud.

The police registered a double murder case against the nominated accused and initiated an investigation.
