CNN, citing US officials, reports that Israel has proposed holding talks in Washington, DC, on Monday after cancelling a meeting with US counterparts earlier this week, Al Jazeera reports.
The request comes as the US White House signed off on a $2.5bn arms package to Israel, consisting of more than 2,000 bombs, even as it pushes back on Israel’s planned incursion of Rafah.
US officials told CNN that a date for the Rafah talks has not yet been finalised.
