KOHAT: The election commission announced on Sunday to hold fresh polling in 25 polling stations of PK-90, Kohat-I, on Feb 15.

Polling in these stations located in Darra Adamkhel tribal subdivision was halted after they were vandalised and ballot boxes were taken away during the Feb 8 elections.

Numan Khan, an official of the election commission, told Dawn that the result of the KP-90 had also been withheld after receiving the detailed report of the returning officer.

Meanwhile, SHO Darra police station Saada Khan said according to the FIR registered on the complaint of the election commission staff around 250 to 300 people attacked the 25 polling stations.

He added 19 tribesmen had been nominated by name in the FIR, and raids were being conducted for their arrest.

He said they had been booked under different sections of Pakistan Penal Code and Code of Criminal Procedure.
