GWADAR: One man was killed in an explosion that took place in Jewani town of Gwadar district on Friday, police said.

Officials added that an improvised explosive device (IED) planted at the roadside in the small coastal town went off when a man was passing through the spot, leaving him dead on the spot.

Police rushed to the site and started an investigation. No one claimed responsibility for the blast.
