Boy injured in Gulshan blast dies

KARACHI: A minor boy who suffered critical wounds in a grenade explosion in Haji Leemu Goth on Wednesday died during treatment on Thursday.

Police Surgeon Summaiya Syed confirmed the death of seven-year-old Husain Shehzad, who was admitted at a private hospital in Gulshan-i-Iqbal for treatment.

She said that one injured person of the grenade blast, Noor Mohammed, 27, was also brought for treatment at the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.

On Wednesday, a grenade exploded in the hand of Farooq Mirazi near his residence in Gulshan-i-Iqbal, killing him and two others.

The police claimed that the grenade exploded due to ‘mishandling’.
