LARKANA: The election review committee of Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) held its meeting in Jamia Islamia here on Sunday. Maulana Nasir Mehmood Soomro, the party’s Larkana district emir, chaired the meeting.

The committee decided to field JUI-F candidates on all national and provincial assembly seats of Larkana district in the upcoming general elections.

There are two NA and four Sindh Assembly seats in the district.

The meeting unanimously decided to lend support to the Larkana Awami Ittehad (LAI) if it fielded its candidates on these seats.

The committee finalised names of JUI-F candidates and asked them to file their nomination papers.

Maulana Soomro will contest for NA 194-Larkana while Muhabbat Ali Khuhro, the party’s district general secretary, will be the candidate for NA-195.

The party’s Sindh Assembly candidates are Abdul Aziz Soomro (PS 10-Ratodero), Maulana Nasir Mehmood Soomro (PS 11-Larkana), Abdullah Junejo (PS 12-Bakrani) and Naseer Ahmed Bhutto (PS 13-Dokri).

JUI-F Sindh general secretary Maulana Rashid Mehmood Soomro will be filing his nomination papers for NA 197-Naseerabad-Warah constituency of Qambar-Shahdadkot district, sources said.
