Survey on Urial

OKARA: The University of Okara’s department of Zoology’s two-week survey on second round of Punjab Urial in Salt Range, Jhelum, has been completed.

It was supervised by Zoologist Ms Tasneem Murtaza, Wildlife Preservation Officer Ms Najma Rasheed, and one official from the Zoological Survey of Pakistan.

The academia and students got effective practical learning opportunities during the field work.

Earlier, during the previous week, the UO’s zoology department students headed by Pro vice Chancellor Dr Wajid visited Mianwali areas with the collaboration of University of Mianwali on fossil identification and collection at Daud Khail.

On the site, DoZ Chairperson Dr Zahida Nasreen discussed the fossil collection and identification.
