Fact-finding committee formed

KARACHI: The Sindh government on Wednesday formed a new committee to conduct an inquiry against “some officers/officials of the Sindh police” in connection with their alleged involvement in a Rs20 million robbery during a police raid on the house of a trader in Orangi Town.

A notification issued by Chief Secretary Dr Mohammad Fakhre Alam stated that the fact-finding committee was formed in compliance with the directions of the caretaker chief minister.

The home secretary will head the committee with the Karachi commissioner, a DIG (posted in Sindh other than Karachi region) as its members.
