ANP launches election campaign from Swabi

SWABI: The Awami National Party on Saturday launched the election campaign by holding a public gathering in PK-50, Swabi-II here.

The elections are scheduled to be held on Feb 8 next year.

At the meeting, over two dozen leaders and workers of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz joined the ANP.

Party’s provincial general secretary Sardar Hussain Babak was the chief guest.

ANP is the only party having awarded poll tickets to candidates for two National Assembly and five provincial assembly constituencies in Swabi.

Babak claims party to form next govt in KP

Speaking on the occasion, Mr Babak declared that the people had finally realised that only the red flag leaders could

deliver according to their expectations as the party had always worked for the rights of the province.

“Many more people across the province are expected to join ANP soon. The Wali Bagh leaders are in the hearts and minds of people,” he claimed.

Mr Babak advised the party leaders and workers to educate voters about the party’s manifesto.

He insisted that the future belonged to ANP as it would form the next government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to resolve the people’s problems, secure electricity royalty for the province and push for reconstituting the National Finance Commission.

He said the party would create employment opportunities for the people.

ANP candidate from PK-50 Nawabzada also spoke on the occasion.

All those who joined ANP were presented with red caps of the party.
