LAHORE: Pakistan pacers Naseem Shah, Ihsanullah and Mohammad Hasnain have started their rehabilitate from their respective injuries, the country’s cricket board said on Monday.

Naseem, who picked up a shoulder injury during the Asia Cup in September, underwent a surgery last week. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) said the right-armer “remained absolutely stable and was discharged from the hospital the next day”.

The 20-year-old, added a press release by the PCB, will be attended by two physiotherapists for his rehabilitation initially at the hospital and also later at the training ground and gym. During this entire period, he will be continuously monitored and the doctor who operated on him will see him again in the third week of October.

Meanwhile, Ihsanullah, who made his One-day International and T20 debut earlier this year, had his elbow operated in by “a doctor flown from England” in September.

“After the operation, the fast bowler was placed in an elbow brace for four weeks, with a doctor and physio attending him on a daily basis,” said the PCB. “His condition is satisfactory and the brace will be removed at the end of the fifth week.

“Afterwards, he will proceed with rehabilitation at the National Cricket Academy in Lahore.”

Hasnain, unlike Naseem and Ihsanullah, did not require a surgery for an ankle injury that he sustained during the Lanka Premier League in August.

The PCB said the 23-year-old traveled to England from Sri Lanka and had an MRI. The scans revealed the fast bowler requires rehabilitation for his ankle, which is under process since September 13 in England.”
