FPSC negligence

EVERY now and then, the Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) offers an opportunity to apply for posts in top government departments, such as the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), the National Accountability Bureau (NAB), and the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR).

Nowadays, FIA tests are being conducted by the FPSC in a series of batches. However, due to out-of-syllabi questions in some of the batches and comparatively easier questions in others, hardworking students may not be able to make their dreams come true.

This was evident from the recent tests for the post of FIA assistant director, where, instead of the FIA Act, which was part of the syllabus, the FPSC included out-of-syllabi questions related to the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) Act. This shows an attitude of non-seriousness and negligence on the part of the FPSC.

The aspirants invest their valuable time and money, and prepare for such tests for about seven months. As a result of this incompetence, the candidates are now left frustrated in a state of hopelessness. The authorities concerned need to be more professional in their approach towards such examinations.
