RAWALPINDI: Wapda and Army Colours pulled off comprehensive victories in the second Mari Petroleum Azadi Cup Hockey Tournament here at the Retired Lt Gen Ashfaq Nadeem Hockey Stadium, Ayub Park late Wednesday.

In the day’s first match, Wapda outclassed Pakistan Air Force 7-1.

Taufiq Arshad netted two goals while Ejaz Ahmed, Abdul Rehman, Ali Ejaz, Ahmed Khan, and Hanan Shahid chipped scored one apiece. PAF’s goal came from Mohsin Hassan.

Army Colours in the second match trounced Punjab Rangers 5-1.

Owais Zahid scored a brace for the winners while Muzammil, Ghazanfar and Wasim Akram netted one each. Mohammad Baqir scored the only goal for Punjab Rangers.

The third and last game between Pakistan Navy and Mari Petroleum ended in a 3-3 draw.

Arbaaz Ahmed, Umer Sattar and Arshad Liaquat scored one goal each for Mari Petroleum while Yasir Anwar, Hammad Ali and Mohammad Saber contributed one apiece for Navy.
