LARKANA: Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Fazl chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman will lead a protest rally outside the Karachi Press Club on Sunday against desecration of Holy Quran in Sweden, according to the party’s Sindh general secretary Maulana Rashid Mehmood Soomro.

Speaking at a congregation in Shikarpur on Friday evening, Maulana Soomro said the ‘Hurmat-i-Quran’ rally would appeal to the United Nations and Organisation of Islamic Cooperation to take concrete measures against recurrence of such incidents anywhere in the world.

Several religious scholars and JUI-F leaders addressed the congregation.
