MDCAT results announced

ISLAMABAD: Results for MDCAT, an exam one must pass to get admission to a medical or a dental college, came out on Wednesday, the authority that conducted the exams announced.

In a notification issued on Wednesday morning but dated Nov 22 (Tuesday), the Pakistan Medical Com­mission (PMC) said the results for the exam, conducted earlier this month, were now available on its website.

It said candidates can use their registered computerised national identity card (CNIC), proof of registration card (PoR), B-form, or passport number to check their results.

“Printable results will be available on the PMC website tomorrow (Wednes­day),” the notification said. “In case of any error/omissions regarding the result, kindly contact the exam conducting university concerned.”

This year’s MDCAT was conducted on Nov 13 across the country and two other courtiers, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.

As many as 203,791 candidates appeared at the national level and 462 candidates at international venues in the test.

A breakdown showed that 83,142 candidates took the test in Punjab, followed by 46,229 in Khyber Pakht­unkhwa, 43,994 in Sindh, 17,825 in Islamabad, 9,238 in Balochistan, 2,718 in Azad Jammu and Kash­mir, 645 in Gilgit, 240 in the United Arab Emirates and 222 in Saudi Arabia.

The answer key was also uploaded the same day on the website of the PMC to help candidates compare their answers with correct answers and to get an idea about their performance in the exam.
