Seven proclaimed offenders arrested

TAXILA: The Attock Saddar police on Wednesday arrested seven proclaimed offenders in a case registered against them some four years ago.

According to police spokesman, a case was registered against them under section 188 Pakistan Penal Code and 16 MPO on September 5, 2019 in Attock Saddar Police station.

Later, they were declared proclaimed offenders (PO) as they escaped the arrest.

Meanwhile, Pindigheb police recovered a car which was snatched from Karachi and arrested a suspect. Efforts made to establish sub jail in Pindigheb.

Sub-jail

Meanwhile, the district and session judge Attock Asad Ali has said that efforts are underway to establish a sub-jail in Pindigheb town of Attock as litigants, under trial prisoners and public facing a lot of problems due to non-availability of this facility.

He expressed these views while speaking as chief guest at the inauguration ceremony of newly established offices of president and general secretary of Pindigheb Bar Association on Wednesday. Local judges, lawyers and officials of local administration were also present on this occasion.

Responding to appeal made by the bar president Syed Mudasir Naqvi and general secretary Atif Ali Qureshi in their address about the non-availability of facility in which under trial prisoners were brought from Attock jail to the Pindigheb, he said that consultation with district and provincial authorities are underway for provision of the facility.

Earlier district and session judge Attock Asad Ali inaugurated newly constructed offices of president and general secretary of the bar association.
