LAHORE: Manuel Carranza’s heroics helped Master Paints outclass Rijas Polo/ZS 10-6.5 on Friday, setting up a final against FG/Din Polo who routed Remington Polo/Guard Group 8-3 in the Gobi’s Paint Tenacious Polo Cup at the Jinnah Polo Fields.

Diamonds Paints/Sheikhoo Steels will face Rijas Polo/ZS in the subsidiary final.

Carranza scored eight goals with Sufi Muhammad Amir and Sufi Muhammad Hashim scoring one each for Master Paints. Ahmed Zubair Butt hammered a hat-trick for the losing side while his team-mates Mohib Shahzad and Ahmed Bilal Raza got one goal each.

Four goals by Mian Abbas Mukhtar were the highlight of FG/Din Polo’s win over Remington Polo/Guard.Sheikh Mohammad Raffay and Sheikh Mohammad Farhad scored two each for the winners. From Remington/Guard Group, Saqib Khan Khakwani got a brace and Taimur Ali Malik bagged the other goal.
