TAXILA: A second grade student was sexually assaulted in one of the classrooms of a prestigious school by a student of the senior section on Tuesday.

The victim’s mother reported to police that her seven-year-old child was sexually assaulted by a senior student in her classroom during break. When the victim narrated the ordeal to the school administration, they refused to help her.

Later, the victim’s mother called her brother-in-law who took the child to the District Headquarters Hospital. The police registered a case after medical examination confirmed the assault.

When contacted, the police spokesman said the suspect was traced through CCTV images, photo record and human intelligence, .

He said a team of the Punjab Forensic Science Agency from Rawalpindi also visited the crime scene of the classroom and collected evidence.
