Pre-medical students excel in Dera board HSSC-II exam

DERA ISMAIL KHAN: The students of pre-medical group bagged all the three overall top positions as the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE), Dera Ismail Khan, announced results of the higher secondary school certificate (HSSC) part-II annual examinations, 2022, here on Tuesday.

The results were announced at a ceremony organised here in a local marriage hall where commissioner Amir Afaq was the chief guest.

It was attended by BISE chairman Prof Ehsan Ullah, controller of examinations Dr Zafar Ullah Khan and DEOs of DI Khan, Tank and South Waziristan besides a number of school heads and parents.

Announcing the results, Dr Zafar Ullah said that Zainab Anfal of Leeds School and College, DI Khan, had clinched the first position by obtaining 1,055 marks out of total 1,100 marks.

Mohammad Owais of Iqra Science School and College, Paharpur, secured second position by getting 1,053 marks and Ikram Ullah Khan of Shawn Model School and College third position by obtaining 1,044 marks.

All of them were from the pre-medical group.

In the pre-engineering group, Mohammad Daniyal Munir Khattak of Leeds School and College, DI Khan, got the first position by obtaining 1,032 marks while Wareesha Gul of the same institution secured second position by getting 1,027 marks.

Mohammad Umar Niazi of Iqra Science School, Paharpur, and Eshah Saadat of Leeds School and College shared the third position by obtaining 1,025 marks each.

In the humanities group, Zeeshan Haider of Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS) Dhakki, DI Khan, secured the first position by getting 983 marks and Rajab Ali of GHSS No 1, Paharpur, second position with 930 marks while a private student Sumbal Nasir from Tank district bagged the third position by securing 925 marks.

A total of 14,465 students appeared in the HSSC part-II examinations, of which 10,887 remained successful.

The pass percentage of students in the HSSC part-I exam results was 53.2 as a total of 13,650 students appeared in the examinations of which 7,264 remained successful.
