MDCAT likely to be held by mid November

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Medical Commission (PMC) is considering holding the Medical and Dental Colleges Admission Test (MDCAT) in mid November.

PMC President Prof Dr Noushad A. Sheikh said this during a meeting with Sindh Minister for Health and Population Welfare Dr Azra Fazal Pechuho.

A detailed briefing was given by the PMC president on the steps to be taken on the MDCAT exam.

Dr Azhra Pechuho appreciated Health Minister Abdul Qadir Patel for initiating this important issue and facilitating the public.

According to a statement, Dr Pechuho also appreciated the performance of the PMC and expressed her satisfaction over prompt steps taken for the exam to be held in one day all over Pakistan and reducing the passing marks - minimum 60pc marks in the intermediate exam, 55pc in MBBS admission and 45pc marks for dental - as a condition for admission to medical and dental colleges.
