Robber gets death, two accomplices jailed for life
THATTA: The first additional judge of Thatta, presiding over the Model Criminal Court, on Saturday awarded death sentence to a man, Taj Mohammad, and life imprisonment to his two accomplices, Iqbal Pathan and Abdulllah Charan, after they were proved guilty of killing a worker of a private franchise, Noor Mohammed Hingoro, about three years ago.
An additional jail term of seven years with a fine of Rs100,000 was awarded to each of the convicts on the count of robbing the victim of his cash and valuables.
The victim’s heirs were represented in the trial by Advocate Jai Prakash.
According to the prosecution, the convicts had shot dead Hingoro upon resisting their robbery and fled the scene with the looted money and articles.
