LAHORE: Traders on Thursday urged the government to relax the restrictions related to business timings in the markets keeping in view of the Eid business.

They also sought abolishing the restrictions, imposed as a part of the energy conservation plan, from July 1 to 9 so that they could sell most of their goods before the Eid.

“In addition to abolishing time restrictions for the markets’ business, especially the retailers, we, on behalf of all traders, also demand the government fix timings of the bakeries as per restaurants,” Naeem Mir, general secretary of the All Pakistan Anjuman-i-Tajiran, said in a statement.
