Five killed in clash over land in Fatehjang

TAXILA: A clash over a land dispute in Fatehjang claimed five lives and left three injured on Monday, police and hospital sources said.

The incident occurred in Dhoke Mugalan near Dhurnal in the limits of Fatehjnag police station.

The dead were identified as Ishtaque Hussain, Noor Mohammad, Sadaqat Yousaf, Arslan Razzaq and his father Abdul Razzaq.

Police sources said that all the victims belonged to Dhoke Mughlan.

The dead and injured were shifted to Fatehjang Tehsil Headquarters Hospital.

Meanwhile, after getting information, district police officer Umar Salamat along with a contingent of elite force and reserve police from Police Lines Attock reached the crime scene.

Different teams led by a heinous crime investigation unit flanked by information technology teams launched a search for the suspects involved in the killing.

No arrest has been made till filing of the news report.

Moreover, Inspector General of Police (Punjab) Rao Sardar Ali Khan has taken notice of the killing and asked the police to submit a detailed report of the incident in 24 hours.

Man burnt to death

A man was burnt to death after an accidental fire engulfed his rented room in Nawababad area in the limits of Wah Saddar police station on Monday.

Police and Rescue 1122 sources said that 55-year-old Abdul Majeed, a security guard, was present in his room when it caught the fire resultantly he died on the spot. Later his body was handed over to his family after autopsy at Taxila Tehsil Headquarters Hospital.
