TOBA TEK SINGH: Resorting to an unusual protest over alleged denial of salary, a boy climbed up a 200-foot tall microwave tower of a mobile phone company in Faisalabad’s backwaters -- Chak 209 GB Adda at Samundri tehsil.
Rescue 1122 reported that Muhammad Umar, 18, worked as a helping hand with a farmer and was frustrated over non-payment of his dues. It said the teenager climbed up the tower and shouted that he would commit suicide by jumping as a protest. A team of rescuers, however, engaged the boy and brought him down after overpowering him.
