LAKKI MARWAT: Six people were injured when a passenger coach and car collided near Kurram Bridge here the other day. A rescue official said that the coach was on its way to Tank from Peshawar when it collided with a car on the Peshawar-Karachi highway.

He said that the injured passengers were taken to the tehsil headquarters hospital in Naurang town.

The Rescue 1122 official said that the injured included Naveed, 23, Shamal Khan, 40, Manzoor Ahmad, 30, Ghulam Din, 28, Samreen, 7, and a woman and they all belonged to Landiwah area of Lakki Marwat district.

HOSPITAL ATTENDANCE: Biometric attendance system has been introduced in Khalifa Gul Nawaz Hospital, Bannu, to improve attendance of medics and other staffers and curb unauthorised absence.

The hospital’s director Dr Gulzar Ahmad Khan inaugurated the biometric machine the other day by marking his attendance through it.
