Balochistan’s issues to be resolved through talks, says CM Bizenjo

QUETTA: Chief Minister Mir Abdul Qudoos Bizenjo has said the Balochistan’s issues would be resolved through negotiations.

Instead of using force, the government would resolve the issues by removing a sense of deprivation prevailing among the people of the province, CM Bizenjo told a meeting, presided over by Prime Minister Imran Khan in Islamabad, via video link on Monday.

The meeting reviewed the National Action Plan and discussed measures being taken for its implementation.

He claimed successive governments had always used force to deal with insurgencies in Balochistan instead of trying to find a permanent solution to the problems of the province.

Mr Bizenjo said the youth of Balochistan was being being used in the insurgencies after being told that the natural resources of their province were not benefitting them.

He highlighted the need for talking to the youth to remove this misperception.
