TOBA TEK SINGH: At least nine workers were injured critically on Saturday when the roof of a room caved in at a brick kiln near Roshanwala Sadhar bypass road in Faisalabad.

Rescue 1122 emergency officials said they received an emergency call that the dilapidated roof of a room at a brick kiln collapsed when the workers were having their meals there.

They said a team of rescuers that was dispatched to the scene, shifted nine injured workers to the the Allied Hospital, Faisalabad, for treatment.

The workers injured in the incident were identified as Umer (30), Sabir (35), Aziz (18), Adeel (35), Yasin (32), Zahid (24), Bilal (25), Bashir (56) and Mazhar (25), they added.
